In preparation for Thanksgiving on Thursday, this week we wrote paragraphs.  The students were all given a Four Square graphic organizer.  They had to answer the question “What are you thankful for this year?”  As a class, we decided on a basic structure, with each paragraph starting with the same main idea sentence, and similar wrap-up sentences.  The content in the middle was all of their own creations.

In addition to working on our writing skills, this year the students have spent a lot of time in RtI improving their decoding and fluency skills, so I thought I would give them the opportunity to read their paragraphs out loud.  I recorded their readings and present them hear for you to download and listen to.
